I offer here an assortment of brochures, logos and identity, web design, photo-illustration, and other work done for a variety of clients. I’ve attempted to provide a cross-section of samples, to give some idea of my capabilities.
A series of outdoor interpretive trail signs for the Patrick Marsh conservation area, owned and managed by the Wisconsin DNR, Dane County, and Groundswell Conservancy.
Incorporating illustrations and artwork by students from nearby Patrick Marsh Middle School, and historical and modern photos and text from a variety of sources, I created the colorful and inviting placards. Using a variety of visually-engaging graphical representations of these ideas and messages, the interpretive panels educate visitors and help bring to life this important natural place.

“A virtual summer camp for those who love driving and traveling in Volkswagen campervans.”
The whimsical camper illustration was worked up from several early sketches and concepts, cleaned up and refined, colors selected, and finally pulled together into a cohesive logo reminiscent of National Park signs familiar to such travelers.
The same colors and a similar style were used in a series of several site navigational icons.
Spirit Fitness Logo
The Spirit Fitness logo is designed to suggest the characteristics of the company and its products. Utilizing a distinctive badge shape, like a shield or a coat of arms, to symbolize the history and heritage of the company.
This logo employs a stylized “S” with a secondary interpretation as a rising flame of personal growth and the passion of health and life.
Rendered in a metallic Silver to suggest the very steel of which Spirit Fitness products are made, this represents the solidity of a durable product and a dependable company. A deep Red was chosen to represent energy and power.
